THE HEART OF OUR BEGINNING
The Academy of Music was established in 1990, born from the vision of its founding Principal to create a home for musical inspiration that transcends four walls. As a family-led institution, The Academy was built on a fundamental belief: to gift your child a talent is to give them a companion for life. What began as a dedicated sanctuary for creativity has grown into a prestigious community where the joy of discovery is as vital as technical skill.
For 35 years, The Academy has remained a vibrant community where the passion for music is passed down through a dedicated legacy. By blending Trinity College London standards with soulful expression, we help students aged 8 to 80 find their unique voice. Whether learning at home, online, or in our studio, our leadership ensures that the welcoming, passion-first philosophy established by our founder remains the bridge connecting our history to the musicians of today.
The Academy stands as a shared belief that the magic of sound belongs to every stage of life. Through our Togetherness Outreach, our students take their talent beyond the classroom to the wider community. Thirty-five years later, we remain dedicated to the idea that a musical talent is a portable gift—one that is most impactful when it brings different generations together.
